[Andromeda is] a warship, so she can kill people really easily. She controls all the systems on the ship, so all she has to do is change the gravity field and she can drop somebody. I just tilt my head or wrinkle my nose and someone falls to the ground is great. That would be a lot of fun in real life, hell yes. "Kneel!"

Fan reactions?
"We all get fan mail on the show. We sit there at lunch and read them, and it's like, 'Dear insert-member-of-cast-here, I am a really big fan of yours. I have watched everything you have ever done. . . .' It's the same letter from the same person and everybody got one. Although lately, I've been getting more just to me. One guy wanted to make oil paintings for me and another wanted to take me on a tour of his prison."
Happy in your work?
"I've gone a little crazy after standing in front of a green screen all day. I play three characters, so I often have scenes with myself. They'll shoot the humanoid part, then I change and they shoot me for the hologram, then I change and they shoot me for the computer. By the end of the day, I get silly and start attacking the clapper. I feel really loopy, like I could actually have a conversation with myself."
"Our technical adviser is a rocket scientist, and as far as I know, the science in our show makes sense. For instance, we don't have warp speed because they've proven it to be impossible; the closer you get to the speed of light, the more you slow down. I don't get most of it, I just try to pronounce it correctly."
Favorite sci-fi thing?
"I love Blade Runner because it's dark and edgy, and the replicants are really interesting. They explored every side of human nature in that film."
Do you believe in aliens?
"Absolutely, but I don't think they'd come to Earth. They'd tap into our communications, see the Jerry Springer Show and think, 'We're not going there.' They may be evolved enough to travel vast distances and get to us, but we're not evolved enough to talk to them."
